Ingredients
12 Slider Buns
1.5 pounds American Lamb Leg Steaks
12 Tomato slices
12 Mozzarella slices
Fresh basil leaves
Balsamic glaze
Olive oil
Kosher salt and freshly ground, to taste
Directions
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. While the grill is heating, place your American Lamb leg steaks on a baking sheet to come to room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
Season the lamb leg steaks on both sides with olive oil, kosher salt, and pepper. Grill the lamb leg steaks for about 5 to 7 minutes on each side or until an internal thermometer reaches 145 degrees. Allow the steaks to rest for three minutes before slicing into ¼ inch thick slices.
To assemble: place a bottom bun on a plate. Top with a slice of lamb leg steak followed by mozzarella, tomato, basil and drizzle of balsamic glaze. Top with top bun and repeat the process with remaining sliders.
