Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground American Lamb
  • 2 shallots, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 cup roasted cashews, crushed
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh mint
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 package puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds

Directions

  1. Sauté shallots in olive oil until soft. Add garlic, jalapeños; cook until fragrant.
  2. Add ground American lamb; cook until browned. Stir in turmeric, paprika, cumin, coriander; cook 2 minutes.
  3. Add cashews, raisins; cool slightly.
  4. Fold in cilantro, parsley, mint; season with salt and pepper.
  5. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Roll out puff pastry; cut into squares. Spoon filling onto each square; fold and seal edges.
  7. Place on baking sheet; brush with egg wash, sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
