Ingredients
- 1 lb ground American Lamb
- 2 shallots, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 jalapeños, finely chopped
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 cup roasted cashews, crushed
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh mint
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 package puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
Directions
- Sauté shallots in olive oil until soft. Add garlic, jalapeños; cook until fragrant.
- Add ground American lamb; cook until browned. Stir in turmeric, paprika, cumin, coriander; cook 2 minutes.
- Add cashews, raisins; cool slightly.
- Fold in cilantro, parsley, mint; season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry; cut into squares. Spoon filling onto each square; fold and seal edges.
- Place on baking sheet; brush with egg wash, sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
